If you are like me and have some of Addy's short stories, check out the historical section in the back of her Cape Island (summer vacation) book. There is a illustration of an actual BATHING outfit from that time period (1860-90s) that looks exactly like Addy's Stilting Outfit! Check it out and let me know what you think....I don't have the stilts for her outfit anyway so I might just change the name of her dress....LOL!

LOL- I only have the dress (no bloomers or stilts) and I just use it as a winter dress. It looks great with her coat, since they match, and it's one of the few Addy dresses long enough to be warm in winter.

I suppose they said Stilting outfit because they didn't want to have 2 bathing outfit in the same release. Good catch. Oh, did anyone else notice that the real version of the basket that comes with the midsummer outfit is in Kirsten's world book.

Yeah! I saw that! I really like reading the historical sections of the books and also the "World" series of hardcover books for each doll. Thanks for your reply!

A later illustration ( 1989) shows a dress with matching bloomers used as a school dress or gymnastic outfit.
